Sunday Racing (Autumn Series)
Autumn Series
Start Time: First Race will be 11am
Number of Races: 3 or 4 back to back races - the quicker you do the laps, the quicker we can start the next race
Start Line: Crows Nest to Club Mark (Red buoy with letter C)
Start Sequence: Fast and Slow Handicap races will take place. Details will follow. If sufficient boats form a fleet they will still start in the handicap race but will get a fleet result too!
Course: Will be displayed in the window of the crows nest.
Lunch: To avoid pressurising the galley and creating crowds and queues, all races will take place before lunch.
Launching & Slipway Slots:
If you are planning to race - no need to book a slipway slot - instead book the race using the button below. (If you plan to sail after lunch - please still book a slot for that; likewise if you plan to buddy sail earlier in the day). Try to avoid congestion on slipways while launching for racing by launching early and not standing around chatting on the slipways. Please continue to check-in (and out) on your phone or the kiosk at the club entrance.
Crewed Boats: We have enabled the crew-finder option for the races, but please read the RYA Guidance on Mixed Household Sailing
Race Officers: The crows nest is 'automated' so - hopefully - a single person (or a household) can run the race from the crows nest. It is a handicap race and so times do need recorded and numbers of laps. Instructions for the automated system will be shared in advance of your slot and are in the crows nest. Please wipe down surfaces in the crows nest before and after your session. Please volunteer for a race officer slot if you can.
